Organization and coordination of various projects: You support us in organizing our diverse mediation offers and events: in house-wide projects such as Family Day and Museum Night as well as in exhibition-related theme days, school workshops or participatory offers.
Supporting public relations: You help us with public relations, write and edit texts, and coordinate external partners and suppliers (such as photographers, etc.) for successful communication.
Maintaining files and databases: You assist us in carefully preparing project-relevant data and materials and maintain our files and databases (Picture Park, Museum Plus).
Administrative tasks: You perform administrative tasks, assist with the management of our rooms and infrastructures, and act as an interface between different departments, partners, stakeholders, and colleagues.
Experience: You bring initial professional experience, are proactive and practice-oriented, an organizational talent with a penchant for method and efficiency. You are interested in the broad field of programs and mediation in their strategic and cultural-political dimension.
Personality: The tasks require a high degree of independence, diligence, conscientiousness, as well as a pronounced interest in the tasks of the Dept. Programs/Education & Mediation. A quick grasp and ability to work in a team complete your profile.
Education: You have a degree from a university in Art Education, Curatorial Studies, Fine Arts or Art History or a comparable education and have extensive practical experience in project management and event organization.
Language: You are an initiative and communicative personality. English skills are an advantage.
The Kunstmuseum Basel, which is affiliated with the Presidential Department, houses the oldest public art collection in the world. It presents varied exhibitions and programs in the three buildings Main Building, New Building and Contemporary. With over 230 employees, the Kunstmuseum Basel is one of the largest museums in Switzerland and is internationally one of the most renowned institutions of its kind.
