Court Management
The District Court of Horgen is a court of first instance for civil and criminal matters with around 60 employees. Approximately 4,000 cases are processed annually.
An auditorship at a district court enables persons with a completed law degree to enter Zurich's civil and criminal justice system. The auditorship is credited as a net year in accordance with the admission requirements for the bar examination.

Your area of responsibility
As an auditor, you will gain insight into all areas of activity of a Zurich district court through our pool system and work with all 11 of our judges as well as 15 court clerks.
You will participate in hearings, prepare the corresponding minutes, contribute to the reasoning of decisions, and provide legal advice. You will gain an in-depth insight into procedural law, civil law (e.g. family law, claims including labour and tenancy disputes), criminal law as well as debt enforcement and bankruptcy law.

Your profile
- a completed degree in law (Master's)
- very good knowledge of the official language
- a good reputation (extract from the criminal record)
- legal capacity (certificate of legal capacity)

- The salary is based on § 12 of the Auditor Regulations.
The District Court of Horgen regularly fills auditor positions throughout the year. Please indicate in your application when you would like to start the position. In addition to the planned positions, there are always short-term employment opportunities. If there is no vacant auditor position at the relevant time, suitable applications will be placed on the list of interested parties.
