Presentation
The mission of the GTF (Genomic Technologies Facility) platform is to provide its users with shared access to cutting-edge genomic technologies, as well as advanced support for the design and execution of experiments, and the analysis of generated data.
The team consists of about ten scientists, divided between laboratory activities and data analysis. These activities cover both the production of genomic data according to established protocols, and the development - design and optimisation - of new methodological approaches.
Within this framework, the laboratory technician will be responsible for carrying out various types of genomic experiments submitted to the platform (short reads sequencing, long reads sequencing, single cell genomics). They will also participate in the development and validation of new methods according to the evolution of techniques and the demands of platform users.

Your Activities
In your activities, you will be expected to:
- Perform quality control assessments on samples provided by platform users (RNA, DNA or sequencing libraries).
- Prepare sequencing libraries from various types of biological material (RNA, DNA, single cell).
- Carry out sequencing reactions on different instruments (Illumina, Element Biosciences, Pacific Biosciences).
- Ensure direct communication with users regarding the experimental work performed.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of procedures and maintenance of quality standards.
- Optimise, develop and evaluate new methods and technologies in genomics.
Your Profile
To complete our team, we are looking for a person with the following profile:
- Bachelor of Science HES in life technologies or Life Science / Master of Science HES in life technologies or Life Science
- 3 years of professional experience in the field of high-throughput sequencing (library preparation and use of high-throughput sequencers)
