Who are we looking for?
We are looking for an experienced and entrepreneurial-minded individual with solid experience in construction projects who is familiar with the Swiss construction industry. You work in a structured, efficient, and independent manner – especially in dealing with general contractors, engineers, and developers. If you also enjoy coordinating complex projects and collaborating with various suppliers, then you are exactly right for us.What are your tasks?
You will take on the independent project management of the relocation of our central warehouse to its new location – from conception to successful implementation. You will set up the necessary project structure, assemble a project team, and coordinate all relevant stakeholders.You will be responsible for:
- Coordination with architects, engineers, contractors, consultants, and internal teams
- Definition of project scope, goals, deliverables, schedules, and resource requirements
- Development and management of budgets, project schedules, and procurement plans
- Ensuring compliance with all legal, safety, and quality standards
- Regular site visits to monitor progress and resolve issues
- Leading project meetings, status updates, and communication with stakeholders
- Managing contract negotiations, change orders, and supplier relationships
- Identifying potential risks and implementing risk mitigation measures
- Monitoring handover, commissioning, and closing activities
- Responsible for identifying, applying for, and tracking all relevant permits and approvals
What you bring:
- Completed university degree in business or equivalent
- Proven experience in construction projects (no civil engineering degree required)
- Good understanding of the Swiss construction industry
- Experience working with suppliers
- Project management experience for large projects, ideally in construction and experience with project management tools
- Initial leadership experience (technical or disciplinary)
- Willingness to travel
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
- Fluent German and English skills
