The Building Department develops and manages major projects for new builds and renovations for the activities of the State of Fribourg (education, justice and police, social affairs, administration, research laboratories and logistics, etc.) and relies in particular on architectural competitions. For an exceptional project in the Canton of Fribourg, we are looking for a project manager for the gradual renovation of the State of Fribourg's property stock.

Your tasks
- Within the framework of a 5- to 7-year contract, you represent the public client; you lead and coordinate around forty building renovation projects based on the programme approved by the State Council, particularly in the areas of energy renovation and compliance with applicable standards
- You coordinate the work of the project committees (COPRO) and ensure project execution in compliance with programme, costs and deadlines
- You ensure the fulfilment of project services and the appropriate use of the HBA quality assurance tools by the COPRO
- You summarise information and decision-making bases for the project management
- You ensure compliance with state procedures and the public procurement law
- You continuously update the plan of commitments and expenditures
- You actively shape complex, cross-departmental projects, bring in new ideas and meet the diverse challenges of the Building Department with initiative, leadership and clear, targeted communication with all parties involved
- You work independently within the given framework and keep your superiors informed by proactively addressing issues that need to be escalated
Desired profile
- Master’s degree in architecture or engineering or equivalent training, ideally supplemented by a CAS in construction project management
- Several years of experience in managing complex property projects
- Familiar with matrix organisations and good interpersonal skills
- High sensitivity to the dimension of sustainable development in the planning, construction and operation of buildings
- Proficiency in German or French with good knowledge of the other language
