What awaits you.
The SBB assumes operational responsibility for the SBB Transport Police. It is a specialised security police force for public transport. Through their expertise and professionalism, the transport police officers ensure order and safety in stations and on trains. This is one of more than 150 professions represented at the SBB.
What you can make a difference in.
- Joining a specialised, interoperable security police (with cantonal and regional police forces, customs, and the complex railway environment) and multi-cantonal (we cross cantonal borders).
- Intervening in uniform or plain clothes, community and security policing.
- Combating risk situations in stations, conducting checks on trains, fighting pickpocketing, mobile patrols, maintaining order (GMO).
- Ensuring safety on trains and in stations during special events (football matches, ice hockey, political visits...) and security arrangements for major events and large gatherings.
- You have great freedom of action and the responsibilities that come with it.
- We offer ongoing training in several areas; police work, driving, IT, railway.
What you bring.
- Federal police officer certificate (Swiss certificate).
- Several years of experience as a police officer.
- Strong knowledge of police techniques and tactics.
- Strong IT and administrative skills.
- Excellent physical condition and psychological resilience.
- Ease in and with the public.
