The most important specialties include orthopaedics, visceral and thoracic surgery, urology, gynaecology and obstetrics, gastroenterology, cardiology, pneumology and internal medicine including oncology. Approximately 350 children are born annually in the maternity ward. Founded in 1912, the Bethanien Private Clinic is part of the Swiss private clinic group Swiss Medical Network.
Job Description
As Deputy Director, you will assume a central leadership role within the private clinic and, together with the management, bear responsibility for the successful further development of operations. You will actively shape operational management and ensure a high-quality, economical and patient-oriented service delivery.
Your main tasks include:
- Operational management of selected clinical and non-clinical areas.
- Acting as deputy to the Director in strategic, organisational and operational matters.
- Responsibility for financial control and performance of the areas assigned to you, including budget planning, forecasting and economic analyses.
- Leadership and development of managers and teams with a focus on quality, efficiency and service excellence.
- Ensuring close collaboration between medical departments, corporate functions and external partners.
- Coordination and further development of processes as well as leading cross-departmental optimisation and change projects.
- Co-design and implementation of corporate strategy and support of management in strategic initiatives.
Qualifications
For this demanding leadership position, we are seeking an entrepreneurial-minded individual with proven leadership experience in healthcare.
You possess:
- A university degree in health management, business administration, healthcare management or a comparable field.
- Several years of leadership and management experience in a clinic, hospital or comparable healthcare institution.
- Sound knowledge of financial management, controlling and business management in healthcare.
- Demonstrable experience in budget responsibility, performance management and economic optimisation of organisational units.
- A strong understanding of the regulatory, tariff and health policy framework conditions of the Swiss healthcare system.
- High social and leadership competence as well as experience in leading managers.
- Proven competence in project and change management.
- Entrepreneurial thinking, strategic understanding and the ability to combine operational excellence with economic success.
- Confident manner towards medical staff, employees, partners and external stakeholders.
- Very good German skills and ideally good French, Italian and/or English skills.
