The trainee program allows you to dive into three different departments and build your know-how. Take responsibility in new projects every six months and bring innovative solution proposals. Your traineeship starts at the Beznau Nuclear Power Plant (KKB) in the Electrical Engineering department; you can freely choose the second and third departments within the Axpo Group (including our subsidiary CKW) according to your preferences.
The optimal start for your professional future! 💯 The traineeship starts on April 1, 2026, and is limited to 18 months with the option of permanent employment.
Tasks & Responsibilities
- You contribute with your technical know-how to secure electricity production and supply at Axpo. ⚡
- During the traineeship, you actively contribute to daily business and take responsibility from day one – projects range from engineering, re-engineering, app development to analysis and digitization.
- Work on innovation projects and make our processes more digital and agile.
- Start your first assignment in the Electrical Engineering Department of the Beznau Nuclear Power Plant . The team is responsible for operational IT, analog and digital control technology, measurement and control technology, switchgear from low to high voltage, and much more.🔌
Profile & Requirements
- University degree in electrical engineering, IT, or physics (graduated within the last two years) 🎓
- Strong interest in the energy sector, especially power plant technologies
- First professional experiences as an intern or working student
- Good analytical and interconnected thinking and interest in agile methods
- High sense of responsibility, proactivity, and team player
- Impeccable reputation according to the federal security check (PSP)
- Fluent in German and English

You will be part of the 19th Axpo Group trainee generation. Meet regularly at events, whether lunch or even visits to power plants. You work in an international, open, and collaborative work atmosphere and make a valuable contribution to the future.

With us, you work in Beznau, Baden, and/or Leibstadt (KKL). The traineeship salary is CHF 86,000 per year, and you benefit from attractive employee conditions.
