What to expect
- Collaboration on security engineering topics with a focus on web application security, especially WAF and IAM solutions
- Analysis, configuration, and optimization of WAF rules (e.g., protection against OWASP Top 10, API attacks, bot and abuse scenarios)
- Collaboration on IAM topics such as authentication, authorization, identity federation, OAuth2 / OpenID Connect, and zero-trust approaches
- Work in the Security Operations Center (SOC) monitoring, analyzing, and evaluating security events
- Analysis of security alerts, log data, and incidents from SIEM systems
- Support in use-case engineering (detection rules, correlation rules, dashboards)
- Participation in incident response, root cause analyses, and lessons learned
- Support in integrating new log sources (cloud, network, applications)
- Getting to know SIEM, SOAR, and EDR technologies as well as common attack and
What you bring
- University master’s degree in computer science, business informatics, or cyber security
- Basic knowledge of IT security, networks, and operating systems (Linux/Windows)
- Interest in cyber defense, SOC processes, and SIEM technologies
- Analytical thinking and enjoyment of working with complex technical contexts
- Willingness to quickly familiarize yourself with new technologies and tools
- Very good German skills as well as good English skills
