As a floor porter, you will play an essential role in ensuring the impeccable presentation of rooms, public spaces, and service areas of the hotel, thus offering our guests an elegant and well-maintained environment at all times.

Summary of responsibilities:
Reporting to the Assistant General Housekeeper, the essential responsibilities and functions of the position include, but are not limited to:
- Consistently provide professional, friendly, and engaging service
- Collect dirty laundry from floors and prepare carts for external laundry pickup
- Collect all trash from floors and place/empty it into the container
- Replace all burnt-out bulbs on floors and in public areas
- Replenish small supplies, cleaning products, and cleaning equipment for the day’s operations
- Ensure the cleaning of hotel carpets
- Receive, carry up, and store all deliveries in our service area
- Vacuum/clean guest corridors on floors
- Vacuum/clean hotel lounges (meeting and banquet rooms)
- Clean public restrooms (restaurant toilets)
- Inspect exterior areas (hotel frontage, sidewalk, and green space) and ensure their cleanliness
- Empty/clean recycling bins for Nespresso capsules + golden trash bins on floors, in front of all elevators
- Clean chandeliers/sconces/all glass in public areas and on floors
- Provide shoe cleaning service to guests upon request
- Take down/put up curtains in rooms
- Exterior cleaning with a Kärcher pressure washer
- Be responsible to your superior for the tasks assigned
- Commit to the quality of your service, discretion, and perfect honesty
- Maintain a professional attitude, be smiling, and remain calm at all times
- Be flexible and cooperative under all circumstances, especially if required to work temporarily in another department
- Respect ergonomic work standards, health & safety rules, hygiene, and sanitary regulations
- Comply with department and company policies, procedures, and service standards
- Perform any other tasks as assigned
- 6 months of experience in a similar position (public area maintenance)
- Physical work capacity
- Experience in 4* or 5* hotel, an asset
- Excellent knowledge of the French language
- Knowledge of English, an asset
- Autonomous: time management, work organization, and economy of movements
- Rigor and speed of execution
- Flexibility and initiative
Physical demands of the position (include but are not limited to):
- Constant: standing and walking throughout the work period
- Frequent: lifting and carrying loads
- Frequent: kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
- Occasional: climbing up or down stairs and ramps
VISA REQUIREMENTS
To work in Switzerland, the candidate must hold a Swiss work permit or be from an EU-17 or EU-8 European country.
