About the job
Here, a general practice, acute hospital with 24-hour emergency service, inpatient internal medicine, and a nursing home come together under one roof. As a generalist in a leadership role, you will sustainably shape medicine in the beautiful Grisons mountain region – where others spend their holidays.
You accompany people through various life situations and levels of care: from long-term general practice care to emergency medicine and inpatient treatment. At the same time, depending on your experience and interests, a perspective opens up for you up to a leading or chief physician role.
The health centre provides outpatient and inpatient basic care for the entire valley and surrounding mountain regions. Around 120 employees ensure medical care for the local population as well as numerous holiday guests. Under one roof are a general practice, an acute hospital with an emergency department, an inpatient ward, a nursing home with around 40 places, physiotherapy, radiology with CT, laboratory, and assisted living with 24 senior apartments.
Unlike in large hospital structures, here you experience the entire treatment pathway of your patients. Collaboration with nursing, radiology, physiotherapy, long-term care, and external specialists is direct and uncomplicated – without long distances or complex coordination processes.
The medical activity is extremely varied: annually, around 2,500 emergency patients are treated, plus around 350 to 370 inpatient cases per year in the internal medicine acute ward with approximately 10 acute beds. During the winter season, patient numbers increase significantly due to the ski area and tourism, providing a varied clinical spectrum.
For younger leaders, the position offers the opportunity to gradually take on responsibility and develop into a leadership role. At the same time, experienced specialists are also welcome who already wish to take on a broader leadership role today. A succession plan within the medical management is actively considered and offers long-term development opportunities up to chief physician level.
