About the job
What you will do here
- Prepare young students from the fields of classical music, music & movement, and sound arts in the PreCollege for the music theory aptitude test for the bachelor's degree
- Teach music theory (elementary harmony and analysis) and ear training in group lessons
- Independently design the lessons and continuously develop them according to current music theory and pedagogical standards
- Support young students individually and meet them according to their prior knowledge
What you ideally bring with you
- University degree in music theory with a pedagogical focus
- Proven pedagogical experience in group teaching in music theory
- Enthusiasm for pedagogical work with adolescents and young adults, enjoyment of communication
- Teaching language German; explanation of essential matters also in French. Proficient use of digital teaching materials
- Teaching period from September to July, Saturdays only
