About the job
The Museum of Design Zurich is the leading Swiss museum for design and visual communication. Its collection unites over half a million objects from graphic and design history and is of international significance. As part of the Zurich University of the Arts ZHdK, the museum is engaged in research and teaching and regularly produces its own publications. At its three locations in Zurich - at Ausstellungsstrasse, on the Toni-Areal university campus, and in the Le Corbusier Pavilion - as well as through travelling exhibitions and in the digital space, the museum reaches a broad, international audience.
For collaboration in the Mediation department we are looking from 1 October 2026 for a period of 12 months for an
Intern in Mediation 80 %
You will support the Curator of Mediation in the implementation, coordination and documentation of mediation projects (including tours, workshops for families and schools or holiday programmes, open studios), especially in the programme of the permanent exhibition Swiss Design Collection.
In addition, you will develop new analogue and digital mediation formats for the upcoming temporary exhibitions as part of the team.
Your profile
You have completed training in the field of art and cultural mediation or design, bring curiosity and career goals in the broad field of mediation, and possess very good oral and written language skills (German, English and preferably also French) as well as PC skills. You are proactive, flexible and work independently as well as reliably.
