Head of Group Insurance & Risk

A large international group is seeking a senior leader to head its global Insurance & Risk Management function. Reporting to a Group Executive, this role is responsible for defining and executing the organisation's worldwide insurance and risk transfer strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise-wide risk assessments and design global insurance programmes
• Develop and implement risk transfer solutions, including captive-related structures
• Manage relationships with brokers, insurers, and external risk partners
• Advise senior leadership on risk mitigation and resilience strategy
• Oversee global insurance renewals, policy structures, and claims management
• Optimise total cost of risk and manage the insurance budget
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders across Finance, Legal, Security, and Operations
• Lead and develop a small specialist team

Profile

• 15+ years' experience in corporate insurance and risk management
• Proven leadership and people management experience
• Strong expertise in global insurance programmes and risk transfer
• Experience with captives strongly preferred
• Strategic, analytical, and commercially minded
