Medical secretary for the Orthopaedic Surgery and Traumatology Department
To complete our team within the medical secretariats of the Orthopaedic Surgery and Traumatology Department of the Musculoskeletal Department, we are offering two medical secretary positions between 80% and 100%.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research, and education.
The Musculoskeletal Department (DAL) is one of the 13 clinical and medical-technical departments of CHUV. It includes three services in the medical-care and university sense: the Orthopaedics and Traumatology Services, Rheumatology, and Plastic and Reconstructive Hand Surgery, as well as a division of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, a physiotherapy service, and a chiropractic unit. It also includes specialised centres such as the Sports Medicine Centre, the Hand Centre, the Burns Centre and its Regenerative Therapy Unit, as well as the Foot Centre and the Bone Diseases Centre.
The Orthopaedic Surgery and Traumatology Service specialises in the management of all traumatic and degenerative conditions of the adult musculoskeletal system: shoulders and upper limbs, hips, knees, ankles, and feet. Its activity is primarily surgical in nature.
Mission
- You manage and follow up the administrative aspects of the patient file
- You ensure the reception and handling of telephone calls from patients, their relatives, as well as visitors and collaborators, respecting the CHUV guidelines and principles
- You ensure intra- and inter-flow collaboration within the DAL and cross-sectoral (CHUV)
- You organise Outlook calendars and the academic and scientific activities of the senior doctors of the team.
Profile
- You hold a Federal VET Diploma as a commercial employee or an equivalent qualification
- You possess a medical secretary diploma, which is a real asset
- You have approximately 3 years of experience in a similar position
- You are a punctual, smiling, friendly, respectful, and polite collaborator
- You are recognised for your interpersonal skills and relational qualities
- You demonstrate empathy, active listening, and availability
- You have good knowledge of basic office tools (Microsoft Office suite)
- You are familiar with CHUV-specific tools.
