Academic Staff Member in the Field of Special Education / Integration
Office for Public Schools and Sports | 80-90% | Chur
The Office for Public Schools and Sports (AVS) belongs to the Department of Education, Culture, and Environmental Protection of the Canton of Graubünden.
For the Special Education / Integration area, we are looking for an Academic Staff Member starting August 1, 2026 or by agreement. This area plans school offerings for children and youth with special needs and supervises special schools.
- Processing applications for special schooling for students with intellectual, physical, and perception-related disabilities or multiple disabilities
- Processing applications for measures with high support needs
- Contact person for specialist offices, special education institutions, guardianship authorities, and legal guardians within the area of responsibility
- Leading or participating in internal and external meetings and working groups within the area of responsibility
- Preparing responses to parliamentary initiatives
- Collaborating in the preparation of messages, directives, guidelines, and recommendations
- Handling complex pending tasks from daily business
- Developing and enforcing clear criteria and requirements for reporting and application submission
- Developing appropriate strategies and concepts in the area of responsibility (analysis of developments at the cantonal and nationwide level)
- Supporting the finance department in budgeting and accounting for special education institutions
- University degree in the field of special education or comparable training
- Good knowledge of the cantonal school system and/or affinity for educational issues
- Very good German skills and proficiency in written expression
- If possible, mastery of another cantonal language
- Ability for conceptual work
- Ability to efficiently and solution-orientedly complete even complex tasks within assigned competencies
- Strong communication and social skills
