Tasks:
- As head of the external team, you will have to coordinate, organize, plan and control the activities of the Agricultural Control Service (SCA)
- apply the procedures and requirements of the ISO 17020 standard, preserving the impartiality and independence of the SCA control activities
- ensure the proper conduct of processes, procedures and organizational, technical, financial and legal aspects
- ensure, in collaboration with the Agricultural Data Management Office and other services of the Mandate Administration, coordination of controls to be carried out on farms
- collaborate with other federal, cantonal, municipal authorities and private managers of quality or origin labels
- carry out controls for problematic cases coordinating with the principals
- participate in committees and working groups in the control sector
- update and improve control procedures
Requirements:
- university education (bachelor + master or bachelor) or equivalent qualifications with proven experience in agronomy or agricultural sciences (notably SUP or ETH/EPFL agronomist engineer)
- knowledge of the standards and ISO system related to formal recognition of competence (accreditation)
- good knowledge of federal and cantonal legislation in the agricultural field and guidelines related to Swiss public and private quality labels in the agricultural sector
- excellent knowledge of the Ticino territory and its agricultural reality, particularly animal husbandry
- excellent knowledge of at least one second official language (spoken and written) besides Italian
- good editorial, organizational and human and financial resource management skills
- experience in coordinating activities may be a preferred qualification
- skills in managing computer programs (word, excel, databases, GIS, etc.)
- initiative and collaboration spirit as well as adaptability and autonomy
Special remarks:
- the position of Scientific Collaborator I (class 10) can only be assigned to candidates holding complete academic degrees: university license, degree, consecutive Bachelor + Master or professional university school (Bachelor + Master 270/300 ECTS credits) and who have at least 15 years of professional experience in the required field
- the position of Scientific Collaborator II (class 9) will be assigned to candidates holding only a Bachelor or a short degree or to candidates with less than 15 years of professional experience in the required field and holding complete academic degrees: university license, degree, consecutive master or professional university school (Bachelor + Master 270/300 ECTS credits)
