Technology meets consulting – in this role as a Sales Engineer at our location in Kaiseraugst (near Basel), you will take on the technically oriented sales of busbar system solutions in an international environment. You will accompany projects over several months to years – from the initial customer requirement to successful implementation. The focus is not on individual products, but on customised solutions that you develop together with customers and internal departments.
Your tasks
- Technically consultative sales of customer-specific busbar system solutions
- Support and further development of existing customer relationships (approx. 70%) as well as targeted development of new potentials (approx. 30%)
- Analysis of customer requirements and development of individual solutions together with engineering, design, and production
- Responsibility for the entire project and sales cycle – from inquiry through offer and negotiation to conclusion
- Management of international sales partners and support of projects in Europe and other markets
- Close cooperation with internal interfaces (internal sales, project management, logistics, assembly)
- Representation of the company with customers, at trade fairs, and in important negotiations
What you bring
- Technical training or degree (e.g. electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or comparable)
- Experience in technically consultative sales, ideally in the field of energy transmission, energy distribution or high/medium voltage
- Understanding of complex, project-based customer solutions – you do not sell standard products but develop suitable solutions together with the customer
- Confident appearance in an international customer environment as well as negotiation skills
- Independent, structured way of working and enjoyment of responsible work
- Fluent German and English as well as good French skills
- Willingness to travel approx. 20–30%
