Specialized Clinical Nurse in Oncology
The Oncology Department is offering a position for a specialized clinical nurse reference starting February 1, 2025, or as agreed, between 50% and 80%, for the Digestive Tract Center project.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research, and education.
Mission
- You support cancer patients (and their relatives) in their health experience and in their interdisciplinary and transversal care management
- You actively participate in the development and maintenance of the dynamics of an interdisciplinary oncology center
- You assess nursing and supportive care needs, plan and implement a care plan that promotes the involvement of the patient and their relatives, the maintenance of their autonomy and quality of life throughout the oncology pathway
- You guide patients within the care system, coordinate their management, and ensure continuity of care
- You provide nursing expertise within the interdisciplinary team of the center
- You are a resource for nursing teams and promote training and updating of care practices in your area of expertise
- You contribute to clinical and research projects aimed at improving the quality of care in oncology.

Profile
- You hold a HES Nursing Diploma (or an equivalent title, as well as Red Cross Recognition for diploma holders from abroad, mandatory)
- You hold a Master’s degree in Nursing Sciences
- You have 5 years of professional experience, including 2 years in a service with oncological pathologies
- You master English, minimum level B2 (desired)
- You master French, minimum level C2 (required)
- You have knowledge of cancer management, treatments, and their impact on quality of life
- You have clinical expertise in complex situations
- You have knowledge of internal and external structures and teams providing care and support in oncology
- You are comfortable with institutional office tools as well as the patient record and aspects of documentation and prescription within it
- You are autonomous, able to work in a team and interdisciplinarity, responsible, and well organized.
