Chief Physician Pneumology

For our Pneumology & Sleep Medicine department, we are seeking an engaged and qualified individual as Chief Physician Pneumology (80-100%) starting 1 January 2027 or by arrangement.

The Medical Clinic cares for 3,500 inpatients and 6,000 outpatients annually. The service offers a broad general internal medicine as well as extended basic care in the fields of angiology, endocrinology/diabetology, gastroenterology, nephrology, cardiology, neurology, oncology and pneumology/sleep medicine. The Pneumology department offers a wide range of pneumological diagnostic and treatment methods for inpatients and outpatients, including sleep medicine. We are an FMH training clinic of category B for pneumology.

What to expect

• Versatile and responsible work in outpatient and inpatient settings
• Independent management of the pneumology consultation including sleep medicine
• Performing bronchoscopies including EBUS, pleural interventions and consultative co-management of inpatients
• Professional supervision and participation in the training, further education and continuing education of assistant and senior physicians
• Close interdisciplinary collaboration within and outside the cantonal hospital
• Participation in the internal medicine on-call service
• A committed, familial and well-coordinated team

What you bring to advance us

• FMH specialist title in pneumology and general internal medicine (or corresponding MEBEKO equivalents)
• Extensive clinical experience in the entire spectrum of pneumology
• High social competence, communication skills and enjoyment of interdisciplinary collaboration
• Independent, structured and responsible working style
• Commitment and initiative as well as interest in further developing pneumology & sleep medicine together with the existing team
