To strengthen our Finance team in Basel, we are looking for a committed, process- and numbers-oriented individual as Junior Finance Manager.
In this role, you will take responsibility for the financial accounting of various companies and contribute to accurate, complete, and timely financial reporting. You will support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, work closely with internal departments, international companies, and external partners, and assist in the continuous optimisation and digitalisation of our finance processes.

Junior Finance Manager 100%
Your area of responsibility
- Responsibility for the ongoing financial accounting of assigned companies including general and subsidiary ledgers, asset accounting, provisions, and accruals.
- Preparation and support of monthly, quarterly, half-year, and annual financial statements as well as performing account reconciliations and plausibility checks.
- Management of operational accounting processes such as accounts payable and receivable, payment transactions, banks, cash, expense reports, and dunning procedures.
- Preparation and processing of VAT returns as well as support with other tax and finance-related reports.
- Preparation of documents for audits and tax inspections as well as collaboration with auditors, tax consultants, and other external partners.
- Creation of financial analyses, statistics, and evaluations as well as support for internal departments and international companies on finance-related issues.
- Ensuring high quality, completeness, and traceability of financial data as well as compliance with legal requirements, internal guidelines, and relevant accounting standards.
- Active participation in the standardisation, digitalisation, and automation of finance processes as well as continuous identification of improvement potentials.
Your qualifications
- Completed commercial training with further education in finance and accounting or comparable qualification; a higher professional qualification in finance, accounting, or business administration is an advantage.
- Several years of professional experience in finance and accounting with practical experience in financial accounting as well as monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Sound understanding of financial accounting, closing processes, and relevant accounting principles; experience in an international environment is an advantage.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills as well as a structured, precise, and reliable working style with a high level of quality awareness.
- Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, especially Excel, as well as good SAP user skills or experience with a comparable ERP system.
- Proactive and solution-oriented personality with a high sense of responsibility and enjoyment in questioning and further developing processes.
- Team- and service-oriented personality with good communication skills and enjoyment in collaborating with various internal and external stakeholders.
- Very good German and English skills, both spoken and written; additional language skills are an advantage.
