What are we looking for? A dynamic and talented Optical Systems & Image Processing Support Intern to join our Advanced Products & Technology Development Team.

During this internship you will:

• Develop and optimize image processing algorithms for analyzing fiber cross-sections (e.g., shape, uniformity, defects)
• Support optical and functional testing of fiber-based systems, contributing to method development and execution
• Collaborate with APTD and Quality teams to help define optical test procedures and interpret results
• Assist in refining characterization tools and benches, ensuring consistency and traceability in optical measurements
• Work alongside the team on selected development projects, contributing to optics-focused problem solving

What do you need to be instrumental in this internship? You are following a Master's (or PhD) degree in Applied Physics, Optical Engineering, Microengineering, or related field and have solid foundation in optics, optical systems, or illumination technologies. You have experience with image processing (e.g., ImageJ, OpenCV, Python, MATLAB) and a strong interest in functional performance of optical systems and willing to collaborate closely with R&D and testing teams. You are autonomous, proactive and team player. You have excellent organizational skills and a strong attention to details and the ability to synthetize. You have a very good command of French and English.
