The Vocational and Continuing Education Center Toggenburg (BWZT) is an important educational institution in Eastern Switzerland. Around 1,200 learners in the vocational fields of health/social, food/gastronomy, and construction/energy acquire their job-specific, school-based basic education at BWZT. The bridging programs as well as the offerings of the vocational academy complete our educational offerings.

For the 2026/27 school year, a leadership position will become available at BWZT. To complement our team, we are looking for a committed and strong leader as of August 1, 2026:

What to expect

In addition to the role as head of the health department, depending on suitability, interest, and organizational development, there is the option to also take over the social department management. The health/social department includes the following educational programs:

Your main tasks include:

• Health Specialist EFZ
• Care Specialist EFZ, focus on children
• Assistant in Health and Social EBA
• Leadership and support of teachers
• Responsibility for class formation and timetable foundations
• Conceptualization and further development of the departments
• Representation of the departments externally
• Implementation of quality management
• Participation in the budgeting process and monitoring of expenses
• Planning and conducting contemporary, practice- and competence-oriented teaching in basic health education (and possibly social education)

What distinguishes you

• Completed training in nursing HF/FH or comparable qualification
• Diploma as a vocational school teacher
• Teaching experience in vocational basic education in the health sector (knowledge in the social sector is an advantage)
• Interest in leadership tasks and enthusiasm for school and teaching development
• High agility and commitment in a dynamic field of expertise
• Very good IT skills and openness to digital teaching and learning methods
• Communicative, resilient, and solution-oriented personality
