What is my role?

• Independent coding of inpatient cases from all departments according to SwissDRG, you are the expert for precise case representation

• Close collaboration with physicians, nursing staff and finance department, you are the central interface between medicine and billing

• Analysis and clarification of complex coding cases, your medical expertise and detective work are required here

• Professional handling of insurer rejections, you defend the hospital’s interests with expertise and strong argumentation

• Active participation in the further development of coding standards and internal processes, help shape the future of medical coding

What do I need to be successful?

You bring the following:

• Several years of experience in medical coding according to SwissDRG, ideally you already hold the additional qualification as a Federal Medical Coder

• A basic medical education that provides you with the necessary foundation

• You speak fluent "medical" and are well versed in the technical terminology

• You enjoy working independently and are also a team player

• IT tools are natural working instruments for you, which you master confidently
