The HUG nurseries consist of two sites with gardens, one located on the Belle-Idée estate in Chêne-Bourg and the other near the Cantonal Hospital, as well as a daycare center primarily intended for patients attending consultations at the maternity ward.
The HUG nurseries are company nurseries reserved for the children of employees.
Job Description
As part of your activities, you will work at one of the HUG nurseries. Your main tasks include collaborating with the deputy nursery managers and performing housekeeping and logistical tasks necessary for the smooth running of the nursery; assisting early childhood educators and socio-educational assistants in all housekeeping, service, and order processing tasks related to laundry and materials.
Thus, your daily duties include preparing children's meals (heating, checking meals and refrigerators, dishwashing, etc.), cleaning and tidying living and play areas, maintaining and distributing laundry, contributing to inventory and ensuring the good condition of materials and the pharmacy used by children and nursery staff.
This position also involves regular manual handling activities, including carrying heavy loads (laundry, materials, deliveries).
Committed to the life of the nurseries, you participate in organizing the annual nursery events (parties).
Qualifications
You hold a federal professional training certificate (AFP) as a housekeeper or an equivalent diploma.
At least one year of experience in early childhood is preferred.
You demonstrate interpersonal skills and prioritize service. Your flexibility allows you to work in our nurseries located at the Belle-Idée and Cluse-Roseraie Hospitals.
