About the job
For our small finance team, we are looking for an accounting clerk 60 - 80% to start immediately or by arrangement.
In this position, you take on a central role in accounting and act as a skilled all-rounder in bookkeeping. In the area of dunning and debt collection, you are in direct contact with our customers, find viable solutions together, and convince through your persistence. With your careful and service-oriented way of working, you ensure a professional approach to our customers and at the same time contribute to stable and efficient financial processes.
You are responsible for the following main tasks
- Dunning and debt collection process
- Carrying out periodic dunning runs
- Creating and monitoring payment agreements
- Clarifying unassignable debtor payments and payment discrepancies
- Implementing debt collection measures
- Payment transactions
- Executing and monitoring payment runs
- Posting incoming and outgoing payments
- Reconciling bank accounts
- Accounts payable
- Responsible for the ongoing processing of accounts payable postings
- Posting expenses and credit card statements
- Clarifications with internal departments and suppliers
- Support with monthly and annual financial statements
- General administrative tasks in the finance area
What you bring with you
- Commercial basic training (EFZ) supplemented by further training as a financial and accounting clerk or comparable further training
- Several years of professional experience in finance and accounting, ideally in a large SME
- Proficient handling of ERP systems (Abacus or SAP)
- Very good MS Office skills, especially Excel
- Good German skills in spoken and written form; additional languages are an advantage
- Service-oriented, team-capable, and reliable personality
- Efficient, structured, and solution-oriented working style with a high level of quality awareness
- Enjoy working with various internal and external stakeholders
- Openness to digital developments and willingness to actively participate in process optimizations
