The Institute of Forensic Psychiatry (IPL) is offering a position for an associate physician responsible for child and adolescent psychiatry assessments, with a workload between 50% - 100%. The starting date is possible from January 1, 2026.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research, and education.
Attached to the Department of Psychiatry, the Institute of Forensic Psychiatry includes the Adult Expertise Center, the Families and Minors Unit, and the Research Unit. It is located on the Cery site in Prilly. Composed of about thirty collaborators (physicians, psychologists, and secretaries), the Institute responds to mandates for adult and child assessments ordered by criminal and civil judicial authorities. It also offers consulting activities in forensic psychiatry.
Mission
- You are responsible for child and adolescent psychiatry assessments at IPL, under the direction of the chief physician
- You coordinate the activity of collaborators who perform child and adolescent psychiatry assessments at IPL
- You ensure the completion of assessments for minors
- You participate in teaching forensic psychology of children and adolescents
- You participate in research activities in forensic psychology of children and adolescents
- You ensure the development and visibility of child and adolescent psychiatry assessments at IPL.
Profile
- You hold a medical degree and IFSM specialization in psychiatry and psychotherapy of children and adolescents
- You hold a specialization in forensic psychiatry and psychotherapy for children and adolescents and have conducted child and adolescent psychiatry assessments in this context
- You have clinical experience in hospital and outpatient child and adolescent psychiatry
- You are proficient in French, both spoken and written, and have an interest in forensic psychiatry and psychology
- You are a person with a spirit of continuous learning, open and committed, capable of collaborating effectively, communicating well, and planning and organizing your work rigorously.
