Our partner, an independent Geneva-based fiduciary, has been active for several decades and supports a Swiss and international clientele on a variety of tax issues. Their approach combines technical expertise, international vision and personalised advice. They are currently looking for a Tax Specialist.
Your tasks with your new employer
- Independently manage a portfolio of tax mandates for Swiss and international clients
- Prepare and review tax returns for individuals and legal entities
- Support clients with their routine and complex tax issues and provide recommendations tailored to their situation
- Prepare and follow up on tax files, including appeals, information requests and exchanges with tax authorities
- Work on tax planning and optimisation mandates as well as on issues related to restructurings and real estate taxation
- Participate in various tax projects, notably in international taxation, inheritances, donations and rulings
- Contribute to the preparation of VAT statements and analyses as required by mandates
- Ensure regular monitoring of developments in tax legislation and case law
- Develop a trusting relationship with clients and actively contribute to the quality of service provided
You offer your new employer
- Hold a higher education qualification in taxation, law, economics, finance or an equivalent qualification
- Have several years of experience in Swiss taxation, ideally gained within a fiduciary, tax firm or similar environment
- Possess good knowledge of Swiss taxation and be comfortable with a variety of tax issues
- Enjoy working on diverse mandates and wish to develop a comprehensive view of clients’ tax challenges
- Demonstrate autonomy, rigour and excellent analytical skills
- Enjoy direct contact with clients and know how to communicate technical topics clearly and pragmatically
- Be proactive, organised and appreciate working within a small-scale structure
- Have excellent command of French and good knowledge of English; any other language is an asset
