The Department of Structural Engineering and Real Estate performs the tasks of the municipal building permit authority. It reviews building applications, coordinates the approval process, and ensures that construction projects comply with legal requirements. In addition, it plans, maintains, and develops the municipality's public buildings and ensures professional management of the properties.
For the Department of Structural Engineering and Real Estate, we are looking for immediately or by arrangement
Clerk in Structural Engineering 80 - 100 %
- Independent processing of notification procedures
- Process support for municipal building applications in the GemDat system in cooperation with
the specialist - Providing information and advice by phone and at the counter
- Participation in the preparation and follow-up of building commission meetings, taking minutes
of meetings - Management and updating of municipal GIS, databases, statistics, directories
and inventories - Supervision of commercial apprentices as a practical trainer
- Training as a structural engineering draftsman or commercial basic training (ideally in a
public administration) - Several years of experience in a comparable position or in building law
- Good spatial imagination regarding reading construction plans as well as a flair for technology
and numbers - Enjoyment of direct customer contact (counter and telephone)
- Independent, precise, and reliable working style
- Teamwork and helpfulness
- Very good oral and written expression in German
- Solid IT user skills (MS Office, GIS and preferably GemDat)
- Experience in training apprentices as a practical trainer is an advantage
