School Social Worker Primary School Bonstetten Fixed-term 50%The Office for Youth and Career Counselling Canton Zurich, office for the districts of Affoltern, Dietikon, Horgen, takes on the personnel, professional and administrative management of school social work on behalf of schools. To ensure this service, the workplace is located within the school community.
For the Primary School Bonstetten, we are looking for a school social worker for a maternity cover from 17 August to 31 December 2026.
You will accompany and support individual children with special needs and challenging social behaviour in collaboration with teachers and special education teachers in the integration into the regular class. You will create individual educational support plans and implement them. You will work with all persons involved with the child, especially those with parental responsibility, and make home visits if necessary. You will initiate crisis interventions in the teaching and care area where necessary, taking into account the mandate and responsibilities. In addition, you will collaborate with the school team and other specialist agencies. The Primary School Bonstetten is a school near the city with around 600 children. The approximately 20 classes are housed in four school buildings, which are located in close proximity to each other.
For this role, we require a completed degree in Social Work at university of applied sciences level and several years of professional experience in the socio-pedagogical field with children and adolescents. You are familiar with individual support planning and can implement it. You have competencies in systemic counselling, milieu design, child protection, and in the field of behavioural difficulties.
