The Department of Women, Children and Adolescents is tasked with providing quality care tailored to the needs of women at every stage of their lives and addressing the health issues faced by newborns, children, and adolescents from birth up to 16 years of age.
The obstetrics service is responsible for monitoring and caring for pregnant women from the diagnosis of pregnancy through to delivery, as well as during the postpartum period.
It is the regional reference center for high-risk pregnancies and fetomaternal medicine.

Job Description
As a care team leader (RES) in prenatal 1OM-PN or paired in postpartum, you oversee all care activities and manage your sector's team. You integrate your actions within the policy defined by the Nursing Directorate and implement the work axes and strategic projects initiated by your department. You ensure the proper deployment of strategic projects initiated within the Obstetrics service.
Thanks to your listening skills and persuasive power, you promote interdisciplinary work and develop team spirit to guarantee the quality and efficiency of care provided to patients. You develop initiatives that favor time spent with patients and are an agent of change through participatory approaches.

You rely on your sense of diplomacy to manage disagreements that may arise and know how to adapt your communication with your team, other professions, as well as patients and their relatives.
Regarding professional practices, you participate in the evolution of clinical practices by integrating new professions and developing collective skills and knowledge within the teams.
As a member of your department’s management team, you play an ambassador role alongside the head of nursing and their deputies, contributing to promoting ongoing projects.
Qualifications
You hold a HES Bachelor’s degree in midwifery or an equivalent recognized by the Swiss Red Cross, as well as a practice license in the canton of Geneva.
A CAS in health institution management or higher training in management is required or must be acquired during employment.
You have at least 5 years of hospital sector experience including initial experience in management or multidisciplinary project management.
You have at least 5 years of hospital sector experience including successful team management experience.
You are a confirmed manager or your application has been accepted in the RES succession program.
Perfect mastery of common IT tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) is necessary. Mastery of HUG applications is a plus.
To develop trustful relationships and a collaborative spirit with teams and various professional bodies, you possess excellent interpersonal skills such as listening, the ability to unite, and positive communication.
Open-mindedness and the ability to lead change are essential to successfully carry out this mission. Additionally, you must be able to question yourself and evolve your opinions.
Furthermore, you have demonstrated excellent organizational and priority management skills. Commitment and interest in interdisciplinary work are also necessary.
