Company Description
The Staff Unit Financial Intelligence Unit of the Liechtenstein National Administration (www.sfiu.llv.li) is the central authority for obtaining and analysing information necessary to detect money laundering, predicate offences of money laundering, organised crime and terrorist financing. In addition, we perform various enforcement tasks related to enacted international sanctions and other special laws.
Job Description
You feel at home in the following areas of activity:
- Supporting the Legal Department in day-to-day operations as well as with diverse legal issues
- Independently conducting legal research in the fields of combating money laundering and terrorist financing, criminal law and sanctions law
- Carrying out comparative legal studies and analyses
- Supporting the management of administrative procedures and independently preparing decision-making bases
- Assisting in the drafting and further development of regulatory requirements, such as legislative proposals, ordinances, guidelines and information sheets
Qualifications
You are particularly characterised by the following for this position:
- Preferably completed Bachelor, Master or Diploma degree in the fields of law or business law
- Initial professional experience at court, in administration (e.g. court or administrative internship) or a legal profession
- Interest in topics such as crime prevention, especially in the area of money laundering and terrorist financing as well as international sanctions
- Interest in research work and comparative legal analyses
- Very good editorial skills and enjoyment in drafting legal opinions and decisions
- Fluent English skills, both spoken and written
- Reliable, proactive and independent working style
- Networked thinking as well as openness and interest in new topics
