Responsibilities
As a train driver, you are an indispensable part of our team to enable our passengers to travel in an environmentally conscious way.
From 3 August 2027, we are looking for you for the three-year training as a train driver (railway worker in operational service, train driver and transport) (m/f/d) for DB Regio AG at the Koblenz location. The vocational school is located in Oberlahnstein.
What to expect in your training:
At the beginning of your training as a train driver, you will learn what you need to consider to drive the trains safely and punctually from A to B
If there are deviations or changes in train operations, you will practise informing our passengers about this via the loudspeaker
In addition, as a train driver, you will learn how our trains are prepared and assembled for journeys
Step by step, you can then also drive the trains yourself and your trainers will always be by your side
Qualifications
Your profile:
You have (soon) successfully completed school and your secondary school leaving certificate is recognised in Germany and you are at least 17 years old at the start of training
Your German language skills are good to very good and correspond to at least the C1 language level in spoken and written form
You remain calm and keep an overview even in difficult situations
You like to take responsibility, make decisions quickly and are reliable as well as resilient
Working at weekends and on public holidays is also fine for you
