About the job
Would you like to apply your skills in a varied and challenging environment while supporting people in a difficult life situation? In the team of the collective accommodations of the city of Winterthur, which cares for around 350 people at three locations, you will take on the following tasks from August 1, 2026, or by arrangement, initially limited until December 31, 2026:Your tasks
- Ensuring daily care and support with individual challenges of the residents
- Ensuring flawless information flow through collaboration with case managers, writing progress notes, and other administrative tasks
- Enforcing house rules as well as acting appropriately in conflicts by initiating prevention measures
- Organizing learning and leisure activities
Your profile
- Completed vocational training in the care sector and/or experience working with people in emergency situations, ideally in an asylum accommodation
- Intercultural skills and enjoyment in working with people with a migration background
- Resilience, conflict resolution skills, and flexibility, as well as willingness to work shifts (without night, weekend, and holiday shifts)
- German language skills at least level B2, additional foreign language skills are an advantage
