FASTCOM Technology SA announces the completion of the project with the SWISSCOM data centre in Olten (Switzerland). Based on a SMACS FlexMat solution, an airlock with 3 doors was implemented in an already existing infrastructure. The project was carried out in cooperation with the company SAFOS. Very little construction work was necessary. The SMACS FlexMat solution secures the flow of people and equipment and allows for optimal safety.

The challenge: the Swisscom data centre offers its services to demanding customers. High safety standards must be implemented while maintaining high productivity. To this end, access security via a 3-door corridor must be reinforced. The aim is to create a highly secure airlock to safely manage the flow of people and equipment. Construction work must be minimised by using the already built infrastructure. Typical movement flows include people, disabled persons, hand luggage and large equipment.

The solution: The SMACS FlexMat is the ideal solution to meet the specifications. The SMACS FlexMat is suitable for airlocks with 2 to 4 doors, and it allows simultaneous control of the flow of people and equipment. It integrates perfectly into the existing infrastructure, both architecturally and technically. Special modes, including the "emergency exit" mode and specific passage processes, are available.
