About the job
In this diverse role
- you will immerse yourself as a video journalist in the world of television production for twelve months
- you will learn how to research, write, edit, and add sound to news reports and documentaries
- you will be trained in handling technical equipment (camera, microphone, drone, editing software)
- you will travel with the camera throughout Eastern Switzerland and build a journalistic network
- you will conduct interviews with relevant personalities from our region and ask critical questions
- you will contribute your own topic ideas, which you will then develop into your own visual stories
You will succeed here if
- you have completed your Matura or a degree, or have a completed vocational training
- ideally, you already have some journalistic experience, possess a good general education, and also have a flair for language and technology
- you have a strong interest in the political, economic, and cultural events in the cantons of St. Gallen, Thurgau, and the two Appenzells
- you are proficient in Swiss German and hold a category B driving licence
- you are resilient and willing to go the extra mile, including on-call and weekend shifts
- you do not mind occasional on-call and weekend duties
