Your role
The ESG Research & Analytics team is part of the Investment Risk & Data Analytics department and partners with Pictet AM's investment teams, the Responsible Investing team and other internal and external stakeholders with the objective to continue strengthening ESG risk and data management within investment processes.
You will be responsible for testing and validating new workflows for sustainability data delivery, ensuring robustness, consistency, and scalability.
You will contribute to the design and implementation of data quality controls across multiple ESG datasets, including the monitoring of data completeness, accuracy, and timeliness.
You will support the improvement and maintenance of existing ESG models used to analyse environmental and social exposures for classified funds, ensuring data integrity and methodological consistency across all asset classes.
You will contribute to ESG data governance by documenting data definitions, lineage, and controls, and ensuring alignment with internal data standards and metadata frameworks.
You will collaborate closely with portfolio managers, investment teams, and other stakeholders to support the integration of ESG criteria into investment decision-making processes.
Finally, you will conduct data exploration and analysis to generate value-added insights and will actively participate in the validation and challenge of ESG data providers and methodologies.
Your profile
• University degree: Master’s degree a quantitative/scientific discipline (e.g. Statistics, Computer Science or Engineering) or in Finance is preferred.
• Keen interest in Sustainable Finance, ESG principles with an ability to contribute by applying the new approaches and technologies learned during your studies.
• Previous experience in data manipulation and analysis through APIs/SQL and Python and data visualisation tools (Tableau would be a plus).
• Proactive and capable of working independently, taking ownership of assigned topics. Demonstrates intellectual curiosity and a strong level of engagement, coupled with a proactive mindset oriented towards continuous improvement and innovation.
• Qualities such as a desire to learn, demonstrating energy and good presentation skills with an ability to work as part of a team and interact well with others.
• Excellent analytical skills with a high regard for detail and quality will also be essential in this role.
• Fluent in English; any additional language (French) would be a plus.
• Must be resident in Switzerland or willing to relocate.
