The cantonal road construction office ensures the maintenance, planning, construction, and operation of the 740 km long cantonal road network, the 100 bridges, approximately 270 km of bike paths, 80 km of lakeside paths, 570 km of cycling trails, and the 1000 km of hiking trails in Thurgau. To maintain the infrastructure, proactive planning and good decision-making bases are required. For the leadership of this process, we are looking for a
The position includes the following main tasks:
- Coordinated multi-year planning of the cantonal transport infrastructure, taking into account the requirements from laws and standards, agglomeration programs, traffic safety, and slow traffic concerns
- Project portfolio management
- Evaluation and assessment of the condition surveys of the road traffic facilities
- Preparation of network condition reports
- Creating forecasts of resource needs and condition development
Requirements profile:
Your competence is based on a completed degree as an engineer (FH/ETH) or an equivalent qualification with several years of professional experience in the construction industry. You are familiar with maintenance management, project management, and project portfolio control. You are interested in further developing these areas. You are proactive and value good work quality, have a structured working method, as well as good organizational and editorial skills. In addition, you bring the necessary social competence and negotiation skills along with assertiveness to the task.
