About the job
Each year, 68 tonnes of laundry are processed in the monastery's own laundry. Together in a team of six, you ensure careful and reliable laundry supply for the sisters and employees. One weekend per month, you are additionally responsible for breakfast service at the St. Josef retirement home.
Tasks
- Receiving dirty laundry, sorting by colour, material and degree of soiling
- Loading washing machines and monitoring the washing process
- Operating tumble dryers and air-drying delicate textiles
- Hand ironing delicate laundry, operating mangles and ironing machines
- Folding clean laundry and sorting by department, sisters, residents and customers
- Adhering to hygiene and safety regulations as well as quality standards
- Cleaning machines, maintaining work equipment and cleaning tasks in the laundry
Expectations
- Training or several years of experience in laundry supply
- High service orientation, enjoyment of working with textiles
- Physical resilience and willingness for standing, physically demanding tasks
- Enjoyment of people and teamwork
- Good German skills and appropriate communication
- Willingness to work weekend shifts (Saturday / Sunday)
