Assistant Doctor in Child Psychiatry General Outpatient Consultation
We are looking for an assistant doctor for the University Psychiatric Service for Children and Adolescents (SUPEA), in the Northern regions, for the Psychiatry Department of CHUV, at 80%-100%, within the outpatient consultations of Yverdon.
Context
The Vaud University Hospital Center (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in the fields of medical care, medical research, and training.
The University Psychiatric Service for Children and Adolescents plays a central reference role in psychiatric treatments for children and adolescents in the Lausanne region and the canton of Vaud. The service supports a vision of community psychiatry and therefore offers patients and families outpatient care close to home. We also provide inpatient care, ensure liaison in pediatric somatic hospitals, and offer day center services, in collaboration with external network partners. Additionally, we carry out training and research missions. A major reorganization process of the service is underway to adapt our offerings to the constantly evolving needs of the population. Since January 2019, the service has brought together child and adolescent psychiatry from the Northern, Western, and Central sectors of the canton under the same governance.
The "General and Specialized Consultations" pathway consists of 8 consultations and two branches in the three CHUV regions of the canton. It receives patients from birth to 18 years old, as well as their families. The expertise of these general consultations extends to all disorders of child and adolescent psychiatry. These are integrated care approaches based on investigations, diagnosis, and co-construction of treatment plans with patients, their families, and the external professional network. The therapists in these consultations also practice psychotherapy according to one of the three recognized axes.
Mission
- You conduct clinical activities within the outpatient consultation, under the supervision of a chief clinician
- You perform investigative and diagnostic evaluation consultations to propose appropriate care
- You ensure child psychiatry care through individual, group, and family consultations
- You participate in the daily activities of the consultation within a multidisciplinary team and work with all partners
- You participate in on-call duties as part of the organization of the service and the psychiatry department
- You follow continuing education in child and adolescent psychiatry.
Profile
- You hold a medical degree (with MEBEKO recognition for holders of a foreign title) or an equivalent qualification
- You have professional experience in child psychiatry
- You have the ability to work in a network
- You are capable of informing the patient in a simple, accurate, and fair manner
- You master written and spoken French (B2 level certified).
