About the job
The School of Management (HEG-FR) of Fribourg is a member of the University of Applied Sciences and Arts of Western Switzerland (HES-SO) and offers bilingual and trilingual training at bachelor and master levels.
The head of the program manages the Bachelor curriculum in business administration on an organizational, pedagogical, scientific, and administrative level. He/she ensures the adequacy of resources and compliance with the institutional framework, particularly from the perspective of quality management and AACSB standards.
Mission and field of activity
- Implement the program development plan by ensuring its monitoring by objectives and projects
- Coordinate the activities of teaching and research staff active in the Bachelor curriculum, according to the deployment of HES missions (initial training, applied research, continuing education)
- Manage the program's resources in collaboration with management, those responsible for HES missions and other training programs, as well as the HEG-FR services
- Strengthen pedagogical and scientific collaborations at the levels of HEG-FR, HES-SO, and at national and international levels
- Supervise the management of students and their study curriculum
- Represent the program in HES-SO bodies or commissions
- Promote the program and develop contacts with public authorities, institutions, and professional environments
- Assume teaching, research, and/or service activities in his/her field of activity
- Lead, functionally and hierarchically, the academic service staff
Your profile
- Doctorate in a discipline relevant to the position or equivalent training, complemented by further training, for example in management or educational sciences
- Extensive professional experience in the field of economics and services, as well as proven experience in teaching at the university or HES level
- Skills in academic management and ability to lead personnel
- Experience within a research institute or a service center would be an asset
- Assertive, unifying personality combined with strong communication skills
- Fluency in French and German with good knowledge of English

- 4-year renewable mandate as head of program. It is associated with an indefinite-term employment contract as an associate HES professor
