SUISA is the cooperative of composers, lyricists, and music publishers. More than 44,000 composers, lyricists, and music publishing houses are grouped within this organization founded in 1923. SUISA enables the public use of music and ensures that creators are fairly remunerated for this use.
With sister societies worldwide, it manages the rights of a total of two million authors and publishers. SUISA employs more than 220 staff at its sites in Zurich, Lausanne, and Lugano.

You have a strong interest in the following activities:
- Development and implementation of the corporate strategy in line with the cooperative objective
- Overall responsibility for operational activities (licensing, collection, distribution)
- Leadership, restructuring, and development of the company organization and management team
- Positioning SUISA nationally and internationally as a high-quality service provider in copyright management
- Proactive action to identify market opportunities and anticipate challenges
- Consolidation of the company’s long-term economic stability and competitiveness
- Development and management of transformation and digitization processes across the company
- Reconciling sometimes divergent interests of authors and publishers
- Ensuring transparent and fair distribution rules
- Maintaining good dialogue with music creators, authors, publishers, as well as music users and their umbrella organizations
- Representing SUISA with political bodies, authorities, courts, and the Arbitration Commission (CAF), as well as within umbrella organizations and international bodies
- Leading or supporting negotiations on tariffs and licensing conditions with music users and their umbrella organizations (economiesuisse, Swiss Arts and Crafts Union, Gastrosuisse, SWICO, and others)
Your profile
- Proven experience of several years in strategic and operational management of a medium-sized company (overall responsibility)
- Very good understanding of financial management of a company
- Experience or at least knowledge in copyright and licensing, both in Switzerland and internationally
- In-depth knowledge of IT governance, technology leadership and development, as well as digital processes and their optimization
- Experience in the music field and a good network in the cultural sector
(e.g., publishing or music management) would be a great advantage - Innovative and creative approach, constantly focused on improvement and development, combined with solid business management expertise
- Proven social skills, excellent communication and negotiation abilities, and a great talent for "stakeholder management"
- Strong experience in change management and organizational development, as well as the ability to implement these approaches in collaboration with the management team
- Leadership style focused on teamwork and cooperation, combining the ability to motivate, provide direction, and delegate appropriately
- High cognitive potential, systemic thinking, and strong skills in managing complexity
- Very good command of German, French, and English, and ideally other national languages
