Nursing Specialist HF/FH MNA Center (50 – 80 %), Bennau SZ
Caritas Switzerland operates residential homes for unaccompanied minor asylum seekers (MNA Mineurs Non-Accompagnés) at various locations on behalf of the canton.
For the Biberhof center in Bennau SZ, we are looking for a health professional. In this responsible, meaningful role, you will be jointly responsible with a colleague for the medical basic care of the young, unaccompanied asylum seekers. This means you are the first point of contact for the physical and mental health of the young people and can reliably assess in which situations other medical professionals need to be involved.
Your tasks
- Medical advice, care, and intervention for physical and mental health issues
- Preventive health education on topics such as nutrition, hygiene, sexuality, and substance use
- Networking and collaboration with medical practices, hospitals, and external specialists
- Responsibility for health administration and health logistics
- Guidance of staff in medical and health care tasks
- Co-responsibility for creating a good atmosphere in the house
- Co-responsibility for compliance with house rules and safety in the center
Our requirements
- Completed training as a nursing specialist with HF or FH qualification
- Experience in the migration sector and/or youth work is desirable
- Good German language skills, knowledge of other foreign languages is an advantage
- Intercultural competence
- Networked thinking and acting
- Willingness to work variable hours
- High sense of responsibility and quality awareness
- Initiative and independence as well as assertiveness
- High resilience and stress tolerance
- Good Microsoft Office skills
