About the job
What you can achieve
You take overall responsibility for our AI & Machine Learning division – strategically, operationally and financially.
Specifically, this means:
- You develop the business purposefully – with a clear focus on market success and profitability (break-even 2027)
- You actively drive the acquisition of third-party contracts and build new customer relationships
- You use your network in the environment of the Swiss Army, VBS, authorities & public security
- You successfully position our services in the market – together with sales & partners
- You lead a young, ambitious team: motivating, clear, committed – and also with the necessary push-back when needed
- You make decisions and set priorities – even when it gets uncomfortable
- You further develop our AI/ML portfolio and recognise opportunities early
- You ensure that we deliver: on time, quality and budget
What you bring with you
- Successful track record in building business areas or services (ideally in the tech/AI environment)
- Experience in acquiring customer projects and building revenue
- A reliable network in the Swiss public/defence environment (VBS, army, authorities etc.)
- Leadership experience – you can lead teams, develop them and at the same time show clear direction
- You are not an administrator, but a doer with an entrepreneurial mindset
- Good understanding of AI / Machine Learning (you don’t have to be a data scientist, but you need to know what it’s about)
- Ability to balance innovation and economic reality
- Very good German and English skills
