Design Engineer (m/f/d)*

About the job

• You independently create customer-specific 3D assemblies and derive precise 2D drawings from them
• You are responsible for creating and maintaining bills of materials as well as producing manufacturing-compliant 2D individual part drawings
• You actively contribute to the standardisation and further development of existing designs
• You maintain and manage article master data in the CAD and PDM systems used
• You process product change requests as well as service and spare parts orders
• In close cooperation with production, purchasing, project management and external suppliers, you ensure a smooth project flow
• You consistently consider applicable design guidelines, factory standards and customer-specific requirements
• You collaborate with international production sites and communicate confidently in English
• Occasional factory and customer visits within the scope of service and spare parts orders (approx. 1-2 times per quarter) complete your range of tasks

• Completed degree in mechanical engineering or training in the field of design or technical product design, possibly with further training as a technician (m/f/d)
• Sound knowledge of general mechanical engineering and strong technical understanding
• Confident handling of CAD systems, ideally Solid Edge
• Experience in manufacturing-compliant design of sheet metal and welded assemblies
• Knowledge of PDM/PLM systems, preferably CIM Database
• Understanding of integration and collaboration with ERP systems, ideally Infor LN
• Further training as a welding specialist (m/f/d) desirable
• Fluent German and English skills; additional foreign language skills are an advantage
