About the job

• Active participation in the development and implementation of translational research projects in the field of neuroimmunology with a focus on stroke
• Combination of clinical research with experimental laboratory work to investigate immunological mechanisms following cerebral ischaemias
• Planning, conducting and analysing experiments (including FACS analyses and epigenetic methods)
• Analysis of clinical and experimental data in close collaboration with interdisciplinary teams
• Involvement in scientific publications and presentations at international conferences
• Participation in teaching activities in the field of neurology and/or biomedical research

• Master's degree, ideally in human medicine, neuroscience, biomedicine or a related field
• Strong interest in translational research in neuroimmunology and stroke
• Experience with laboratory work, especially in FACS (flow cytometry) and/or epigenetic methods, is an advantage
• Basic knowledge of data analysis and statistics
• Very good German and English skills, both spoken and written
• High motivation, initiative as well as a structured and careful working style and the ability to work independently as well as in an interdisciplinary team
