Apprentice: Mechanical Practitioner EBA (Material Glass) for 2027

Area of work:

Mechanical practitioners manufacture devices, machines and components. Trained with a focus on "glass materials" means primarily the production of high-precision fine optics (e.g. lenses, prisms, graticules). These are assembled into optical assemblies using manufacturing machines. Accuracy and precision characterise the optical parts, therefore work is done in the range of thousandths of a millimetre.

Requirements:

• Interest in technical contexts

• Manual dexterity

• Precise and thorough working method

• Reliability, ability to work in a team

• Independent completion of simple tasks

• Secondary school pupils, pupils of the small class

Training:

• Duration of apprenticeship, 2 years

• Vocational school, BZR Rorschach
