As a floor porter, you will play an essential role in ensuring the impeccable presentation of rooms, public spaces, and service areas of the hotel, thus offering our guests an elegant and well-maintained environment at all times.

Summary of responsibilities:
Reporting to the Assistant General Housekeeper, the essential responsibilities and functions of the position include, but are not limited to:
- Consistently providing professional, friendly, and engaging service
- Collecting soiled linen from the floors and preparing trolleys for external laundry collection
- Collecting all bins from the floors and placing/emptying them into the container
- Replacing all burnt-out bulbs on the floors and in public areas
- Restocking small supplies, cleaning products, and cleaning equipment for the day’s operations
- Ensuring the cleaning of the hotel carpets
- Receiving, carrying up, and storing all deliveries in our department
- Vacuuming/cleaning guest corridors on the floors
- Vacuuming/cleaning hotel lounges (meeting and banquet rooms)
- Cleaning toilets in public areas (restaurant toilets)
- Inspecting the exterior (hotel frontage, pavement, and green areas) and ensuring their cleanliness
- Emptying/cleaning recycling bins for Nespresso capsules + golden bins on the floors, in front of all lifts
- Cleaning chandeliers/sconces/all glazing in public areas and on the floors
- Providing shoe cleaning for guests upon request
- Removing/reinstalling curtains in the rooms
- Exterior cleaning with a Kärcher
- Being responsible to your superior for the tasks assigned
- Committing to the quality of your service, discretion, and absolute honesty
- Maintaining a professional attitude, being cheerful, and remaining calm at all times
- Being flexible and cooperative in all circumstances, especially if required to work temporarily in another department
- Respecting ergonomic work standards, health & safety rules, hygiene, and sanitary regulations
- Adhering to the department and company policies, procedures, and service standards
- Any other tasks as assigned
- 6 months’ experience in a similar position (public area maintenance)
- Physical work capacity
- Experience in 4* or 5* hospitality, an advantage
- Excellent knowledge of the French language
- Knowledge of English, an advantage
- Autonomous: time management, work organisation, and economy of movement
- Rigour and speed of execution
- Flexibility and initiative
Physical demands of the position (include, but are not limited to):
- Constant: standing and walking throughout the work period
- Frequent: lifting and carrying loads
- Frequent: kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
- Occasional: climbing up or down stairs and ramps
VISA REQUIREMENTS
To work in Switzerland, the candidate must hold a Swiss work permit or be from an EU-17 or EU-8 European country.
