Cesar Porcher started with us as an application developer in the "Curve" module at the beginning of summer. He is a former graduate of the University of Applied Sciences for Life Sciences FHNW and we wanted to learn from him about the course and his first impressions of our company.

How did you become aware of CISTEC AG as an employer?

I got to know CISTEC AG when they presented themselves at our contact day at FHNW in Muttenz. I got into conversation there with a member of the management team who introduced me to the company in more detail.

Why did you ultimately choose CISTEC AG as an employer? The Medical Informatics degree is very broad and there are very few companies where you can fully utilise this breadth. At CISTEC AG, you can apply a great deal of this breadth.

What attracted you to the subject, why did you study at the University of Applied Sciences for Life Sciences?

I have always been very interested in natural sciences as well as technology, so the Life Science Technologies course was ideal.

What did your studies at FHNW equip you with for working life that you can now apply well in practice?

I could list many subjects where I was given important skills, but I think the most important thing is that I learned how to arrive at solutions to problems or questions.

How was your induction/start phase at CISTEC AG?

It was very pleasant; I was very well supported through a detailed onboarding programme. The programme allows you to work independently in an optimal way, and if you get stuck, you can count on the help of colleagues.

What would you recommend to future graduates of the University of Applied Sciences for Life Sciences?

If you spend a large part of your daily life in the same place, you should make sure it is a place where you feel comfortable.

Why should future FHNW graduates apply to CISTEC AG?

Apart from the fact that your education fits very well here, the working atmosphere with all the different employees is a huge plus.
