The Academic Services Department (AkD) creates the administrative basic conditions for teaching and manages the school-wide processes of teaching operations. It supports students, doctoral candidates, and faculty members in all matters of study including academic continuing education.
For the room and schedule planning team, which is responsible for the central reservation of teaching rooms and schedule planning, we are looking for an administrative employee starting immediately or by arrangement. The position is limited until the end of 2027.
Job description
- In this role, you will work in a small, motivated team responsible for managing the rectorate rooms of ETH Zurich. These include seminar rooms, auditoriums, meeting rooms, and exhibition spaces.
- You advise our clients on conducting meetings, exams, courses, and workshops and make the corresponding reservations.
- The team is also the contact point for placing internal and external events, such as conferences, congresses, receptions, and celebrations.
- In this exciting and varied activity, you will be in contact with a wide range of people and administrative offices.
- In addition, you support the team in schedule planning, in close cooperation with the various study programs of ETH Zurich.
Profile
- You have a high school diploma or several years of professional experience in an industry that requires process-oriented thinking and diverse customer contact, ideally at a university.
- Even in hectic times, you remain calm and understanding and maintain your structured and precise way of working.
- Your quick comprehension and good organizational skills make it easier for you to integrate into existing processes and adapt them if necessary.
- You enjoy working in a team.
- You enjoy familiarizing yourself with a new environment and new applications.
- You have good knowledge of common Office products.
- With your German and English skills, you can communicate easily orally and in writing in our international environment.
- You appreciate exchanging with various interlocutors and can quickly adapt to their needs.
